On the 1^st of October we welcomed Peter Kimkes as the new General Manager for Axel Christiernsson BV in Heijningen, NL. After an introduction period with training he assumed his role in second half of October. Until mid November Peter is working in parallel with Guus Klück, who has served as interim manager since end 2008, thus ensuring a smooth transition. As General Manager Peter has the overall responsibility for the operation at ACBV and he is also member of the AXEL Group Management Team.

 

Peter Kimkes graduated in 1990 and in 1995 he became PhD in polymer science, all at University of Groningen. After a few years in different research positions he was recruited in 1997 to Avery Dennison, Graphics Division, where he gradually worked his way up and since 2006 has been responsible for two production plants in NL with a total of 350 employees. During the last two years Peter has focused on introducing and implementing Lean Manufacturing, for which Peter has received a Leadership Excellence Award.
