Following another successful ELGI AGM with a record attendance exceeding 400 delegates, the ELGI Sustainability Technical Consortium (STC) was invited to gather for an additional day of discussion in the Spanish Capital.
The ELGI STC consists of five Task Forces focused on Communication and Regulation, Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), End User, End-of-Life, and Life Cycle Analysis. It has been established to ensure that all aspects of the grease value chain are duly considered in relation to sustainability.
With a strong foundation of product and application knowledge from experts across our industry and beyond, the range of perspectives will only benefit our collective understanding and enable coordinated and collaborative progress.
In Madrid, establishing a standardised approach to PCF calculations for grease remained a key theme whilst considering existing methodologies, raw material data, end-user needs, and the potential impact of new initiatives.
AXEL Christiernsson was represented by Johan Leckner, Roland Ardai, Mikael Kruse, and Mark Wheeler (pictured), who opened proceedings as chair of the PCF Task Force.
