Announcement – CEO AXEL Group

I am pleased to announce that the Board of Directors at AXEL Christiernsson International AB have appointed Peter Lagerlöf as CEO of the AXEL Group, effective as of today.

Peter brings extensive experience as a business leader in the industry with a proven track record of driving growth and profitability. His most recent position was as CEO of Centriair, a company specialized in industrial odor treatment. Prior experiences include over 15 years at Emerson in a variety of global leadership roles, both in Sweden and USA. Peter holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

“I am very excited to be part of AXEL Christiernsson and the Fairford Group where my past experiences will allow me to contribute to the continued success of the company. It is with humbleness I am taking over as the new CEO after Johan Stureson ́s long and successful tenure.” says Peter Lagerlöf.

Johan Stureson will retire later this year, after almost 25 years as the CEO of AXEL. It has been a remarkable journey, starting with an overall loss-making business and two European plants, to what AXEL has become today. Six plants across Europe and the USA, with a robust financial performance, very high customer satisfaction and probably the leading global private label grease company. Johan’s knowledge and experience will be retained as a senior advisor to the company and the shareholder.
