In a recent presentation at the 33rd ELGI Annual General Meeting, our Group Technical Manager, Prof. Johan Leckner, presented a paper on the annual savings that can be achieved by implementing more optimal grease lubrication. The estimate presented shows that the yearly potential for savings corresponds to the energy content in 45,000 Olympic swimming pools filled with crude oil. This impact corresponds to 1% of the global carbon dioxide emissions. More sustainable grease lubrication is not just a dream; it can be implemented via increased education and knowledge.
