Last week, a strong contingent of AXEL team members participated at the NLGI 90th Annual Meeting in San Diego, California. We are very happy for and proud of Prof. Johan Leckner’s most recent achievement as recipient of the Clarence E. Earle Memorial Award “For an outstanding contribution to the technical literature relating to lubricating greases during the year.”

The AXEL team continues growing. The responsibilities of this role encompass the full purchase process both at an operational and tactical level. The main focus is on sourcing and purchasing materials required for the production process, including base oils, additives, and packaging materials, but also on occasion supporting local stakeholders with purchasing indirect materials and services. As we soon turn the page on 2022, it is relevant to take a brief look in the rear-view mirror. The turbulent time from the previous year did carry forward, featuring supply chain challenges, transportation, and reoccurring Covid issues, even if the latter is now gradually being referred to by some as ‘just another virus’.
