At our Rosedale, Mississippi facility in the USA, we commissioned and installed a new 45K pound kettle, including additional mills and finished goods storage tank capacity. These additions are enhancing our operation processes to greatly increase productivity, throughput and overall utilization and capacity. Once complete, our Rosedale facility will be able to produce a 45K bulk load in a single batch, in addition to the other more traditional packaging types. This is important for our high-volume customers and end users who prefer receiving their bulk loads produced in one batch with one Certificate of Analysis.

AXEL is constantly striving to innovate our range of lubricating greases, grease packages and delivery systems along with a selection of supporting services. In addition to a range of biodegradable greases, we now offer a battery powered rail switch lubricator system complete with its own, dedicated plug-in bag. This innovative application system provides a series of advantages in terms of portability, flexibility, waste reduction and ease of application. The battery operated applicator has a compact and robust design that is lightweight, easy to use and thanks to the self-contained, plug-in bag system is safer and cleaner from a handling perspective too. The grease used is based on Hycal technology and is introduced in our range under the name Hycal 74000 EPEF. Below, the latest version of the sprayer and bags.

The traditionally small bio-grease industry really only started moving with the implementation of the Swedish Standard (SS 155470) mainly in the Nordic countries. Then the US Vessel General Permit (VGP) followed, becoming the main growth driver focused primarily on products for the marine industry and then spreading into products for total loss applications. As EU Ecolabel grew, we accelerated the development of our two spearhead product technologies for marine and agriculture to build knowledge and experience in the process.
As the trend for media to increasingly move on-line and away from the printed page grows, we could be forgiven for assuming that the pulp & paper industry must be experiencing a significant down-turn as a result.
When my daughter was just a few years old and you asked her “What does your dad do for work?", she would respond: ‘’He makes factories!” She is a clever girl and she was right.
